  • What is Manteca Youth Focus?

Manteca Youth Focus (MYF) is a non-profit organization. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors founded in 1995, the group traces its roots back to the original Manteca 4th of July Celebration. Its programs are offered to youth who reside or attend schools within the boundaries of the Manteca Unified School District, including the communities of Manteca, Lathrop, French Camp and Weston Ranch (South Stockton). The group has awarded over $50,000 in educational funding to date via the three annual scholarship competitions. Additionally the organization provides community service opportunities at more than 150 local events throughout the Central Valley of California.

  • Performing Arts
    • Manteca Youth Focus Entertainers
      • The MYF Entertainers are an integral and dynamic part of MYF. Serving as the “entertainment division,” the volunteer group serves the City of Manteca as a performing arts and community service group. The entertainers consist of youth volunteers from the community at large and some of the titleholders from the 3 MYF Scholarship Competitions. Under the instruction of MYF alumni, the members receive beginning level instruction in the areas of dance and vocal performance. This versatile group is known for providing fun entertainment the whole family can enjoy.
      • From small beginnings in 1995, the group has grown to become the most recognizable aspect within our organization. You can see them in action at such events as the Manteca 4th of July Celebration, the Sunrise Kiwanis Pumpkin Fair, the Manteca Chamber of Commerce Twilight Holiday Parade, the St. Anthony’s Harvest Festival, the San Joaquin County 2nd Agricultural District Fair, the Kaiser Permanente Neighbors in Health Fair, the Manteca Convention and Visitors Bureau Crossroads Street Fair and many others. Each year the MYF Entertainers log hundreds of hours of community service traveling all over the Central Valley of California.
      • The entertainers provide young participants with challenging and rewarding experiences. They acquire important skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork. In addition, the enormous amount of hours logged is a valuable asset to the young people as they seek to further their educational goals.
